Rwanda: Golden Tour
Day 1 | Arrival Arrival Kigali airport, meet and greet services thereafter transfer to your hotel Overnight: Kigali Serena/ Kigali Marriot (High-End) Hotel Des Mille Collines(Mid-range) |
Day 2 | After Breakfast, drive to the Nyungwe Forest national park, stopping over in Nyanza to visit the ancient Rwandan Kings royal palaces, and the Butare National Museum, respectively. – Proceed on to Nyungwe Forest national park for overnight. |
Day 3 | Morning: trekking for Chimpanzees in the Nyungwe Forest national park or The Colobus Monkeys in the forest. Afternoon: – Canopy Walkway, in the Forest. Overnight: One and Only Nyungwe House (High-End), Emeraude Kivu Resort (Mid-Range) |
Day 4 | After an early breakfast drive alongside Lake Kivu to the resort town of Rubavu via Karongi, the road itself offer panoramic view of the lake and surrounding environs, stops enroute to photograph scenic areas. |
Day 5 | After an early breakfast drive to the RDB office in Kinigi, undergo gorilla trekking registration formalities thereafter you will be assigned a gorilla group to visit. After trekking have lunch at your lodge, afternoon visit the compellingly twin lakes Bulera and Ruhondo Overnight: Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge / Bisate Eco Lodge(High End) Mountain Gorilla View lodge/ Five Volacanoes (Mid-Range) |
Day 6 | After breakfast report to RDB office to undergo formalities for trekking the rare Golden monkeys, an endemic species of the blue monkey only found on the eastern rift. You will be allocated a group to visit, enter the forest, and thereafter have lunch at your lodge before driving back to Kigali, stops en-route to photograph scenic areas. Day 7 | After breakfast transfer to Akagera National Park, via Kigali, on arrival in Kigali undertake city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial site, have lunch, thereafter drive to the Akagera National Park, on arrival check into the lodge |
Day 8 | After an early breakfast enter the park for a full day game drive, with packed lunch, a safari of an awfully assorted fauna, buffallos, giraffes, Zebras etc without forgetting the many bird’s species of the savannah. |
Day 9 | After a leisurely breakfast drive to the shores of Lake Ihema, take a boat to explore the birdlife and the amphibians like crocodiles, hippos and lots of water birds, have lunch at the camp thereafter drive to Kigali. |
Day 10 | Transfer to the airport to catch outbound flight. |
