Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Day 1 | Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha CityOn arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet and greet by our driver guide who will transfer you to the beautiful city Arusha where you will stay overnight. This drive will take approximately 1 hour and is about 55 km. |
Day 2 | Arusha City– Mto Wa Mbu Cultural Visit – Lake Manyara National ParkAfter breakfast, depart to Mto Wa Mbu for cultural activity followed by hot lunch in village, later in the afternoon depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, arrive at the lodge for evening leisure and hot dinner. |
Day 3 | Lake Manyara –Olduvai Gorge – Serengeti NPAfter breakfast, proceed for a game drive in Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge , lunch break in Olduvai Gorge, later proceed to Serengeti for dinner and overnight. |
Day 4 | Serengeti NPAfter breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch box; arrive at the lodge for evening leisure and hot dinner. |
Day 5 | Serengeti NP – Crater rim WalkAfter breakfast, depart for a final game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch box, later in the afternoon drive to the crater rim for crater rim walk, later drive to the lodge for evening leisure and hot dinner. |
Day 6 | Ngorongoro Crater TourAfter breakfast, descend down the crater floor for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch box; arrive at the lodge for evening leisure and hot dinner. |
Day 7 | Ngorongoro – Masai Cultural Visit – Kilimanjaro International AirportAfter breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to one of the authentic Maasai village in Mto Wa Mbu, spend sometimes experiencing their cultural way of living, later proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Kigali on arrival you will be met by Hills in the Mist driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel. |
Day 8 | Kigali – MusanzePick up from your hotel then drive to Musanze, on arrival visit iby’iwacu cultural village – chance to meet local people, in their environment, with a taste of our culture and traditions. The community you visit will genuinely welcome you as a special guest |
Day 9 | Gorilla trekkingAfter breakfast, morning Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park – your ultimate chance to come face to face with a Mountain Gorilla Silverback. Return to the hotel for lunch, afternoon visit beautiful twin lakes BULERA & RUHONDO formed due to volcanic eruptions |
Day 10 | Transfer to KIbuye/HuyeAfter breakfast drive to Karongi via Rubavu, the road offers panoramic view of lake Kivu and surrounding hilly countryside, on arrival check into Cormaran Lodge. |
Day 11 | Transfer to Nyungwe forestAfter a leisurely breakfast, relax by the shores of lake Kivu early afternoon drive still alongside lake Kivu to the southerly port town of Rusizi, proceed to Nyungwe forest for overnight |
Day 12 | Chimpanzee trekkingEnter Nyungwe forest for Chimp trekking – Nyungwe is the largest and most ancient Afro-Montane forest remaining in the East & Central Africa, dating back to the last ice age. The forest is interspersed with well marked and maintained trails and boasts 13 rare primate species, the world’s largest ever recorded arboreal troop of black/white colobus monkeys, over 300 species of birds and 100 types of orchid. |
Day 13 | Canopy WalkAfter Breakfast re-enter the forest for the canopy walk -The first ever hanging platform which allows tourists to view different animal species in Nyungwe forest. It is 40 meters above the ground level, and 90 meters long, above a steep, deep valley, that affords the clients the dizzying platform from which to be at the ” eye-to-eye level ” with different primate species, and many bird species. Have lunch then drive back to Kigali |
Day 14 | Transfer to the airportAfter breakfast transfer to the airport to catch flight back home. |
